The modern diet, which is increasingly low in alkalising foods, a sedentary lifestyle, stress, alcohol, smoking and medication can lead to a build-up of acidic metabolic waste that needs to be eliminated. Particularly intense or strenuous exercise can also cause the accumulation of acid substances, with the consequent development of tissue acidosis. Acidosis impairs the proper functioning of regulatory systems, including the neurological system, resulting in reduced ‘mental clarity’. An accumulation of acids at the mesenchymal level generates changes in the environment that alter cellular functioning and response, while an acid-base balance helps maintain mental and physical health.

PROPERTIES:
Alka-flor has a natural anti-acid and alkalising effect on the digestive tract and urinary pH, therefore it can be useful for sports people and in the treatment of acidosis and ketosis in children, diarrhoea, cramps, tachycardia, hypotension, gastritis, dyspepsia, aerophagia, digestive headaches, intestinal dysbiosis, food intolerances and allergies, when the urinary pH is 5.2-5.8.

As the product is completely sweetener-free, it is also indicated for people with blood sugar problems.
